The Short Version: I grew up near Disneyland and in the world of entertainment. As a child I sang and soloed with the Pacific Chorale Children’s Chorus and the Southern California Children’s Chorus, toured internationally and sang in churches and concert halls across the country. I performed in musicals and dramatic plays in the third grade and carried that love with me through a theater major at the University of Redlands in California. I studied classical theater performance at the Antaeus Theater Company in Los Angeles, and commercial and contemporary acting at South Coast Repertory. After college I designed sets, directed shows, and music-directed in the Orange County area, ranging from community theater to semi-professional shows. After suffering from voice performance issues in 2005, I began studying with Eric Futterer to repair and grow a professional voice. By 2006 I began singing again in churches and opened a voice studio for singers and actors teaching the modern Bel Canto style. I built a thriving studio in the North Orange County area in California. However, my husband, Kieran and I talked about moving out of state to build a fuller and slower life for our children. When COVID hit, it illuminated the need to make that dream a reality. We built a plan and looked for a place that offered the sense of community, patriotism, and lifestyle that we were seeking. Happily, we found Bardstown in the summer of 2021. We fell in love with the town and the people here and now I am ready to continue sharing my love of voice, and my experience in music and theater with the people of this area through my new voice studio.
